The Hispanic Alliance is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 Student DREAMers Alliance scholarships. These scholarships, awarded to 12 exceptional students attending seven different colleges and universities across South Carolina, recognize their academic achievements, leadership qualities, and commitment to their communities.
If you come to Hispanic Alliance meetings, you have heard about the Student DREAMers Alliance (SDA), our homegrown leadership incubator for DREAMers and their allies. We don’t hide our enthusiasm for our fledgling program, and we are thrilled that others share our enthusiasm for its potential.
Judith’s sons were the first siblings to complete SDA, and are the first in her extended family to attend college. With a supportive organization at her back, Judith can focus on teaching them character lessons – ones that closely mirror how Hispanic Alliance sees our role in the community.

In 2018, our own Adela Mendoza was recognized as one of six global recipients of the McNulty Catalyst Fund Prize for her leading role in the Student DREAMers Alliance.
Due to the cost of tuition, many more have had to abandon their dreams for their survival. Hispanic Alliance wants to commit to supporting our SDA alumni in higher education to the fullest, and we cannot make that promise in good faith without your help!
Hispanic Alliance is celebrating the achievements of the students enrolled in its Student DREAMers Alliance program, which develops leadership skills in high school students.
Awarded through the Global Impact Fund, the funding will support the implementation and growth of Inclusion-based Leadership Development in South Carolina.
